We hope our donations become a seed of hope of self-reliance for the Ghanaian women!

‘World Village Bridging Project’ lets the students select the project to support and raise funds. Yumkwang Meditech High school students were the first to participate in the ‘World Village Bridging Project’.

The students were first explained of the projects, and they took time to decide which project to support and raise funds. They’ve decided on the Ghanaian women’s basket project.

A basket is more than just a means of living for the Ghanaian women. The basket is hope for the women which would allow them to become self-reliant, and become proud members of the society. Also, the profit from the basket would give their children a better education. The basket they make is more than just money. It seems like the girls at the high school felt sympathy towards the Ghanaian women.

“I’ve participated in several donations but The Bridge invests for the self-reliance of people in the developing countries, and it was different and special. That’s why me and the student council decided to participate in the ‘World Village Bridging Project’” – Yumin Kim (Student President)

“Participating in the ‘World Village Bridging Project’ by The Bridge made me and the other students think about a better donation culture. Also, since we’re a women’s high school, we were interested in how the women in other countries live. Participating in this project was meaningful for me to take part in enhancing Ghanaian women’s rights. We hope that the fund we raised is safely delivered and that it has a positive impact on both the Ghanaian women and us. Thanks for letting us participate!” – Mina Jung (Student Vice President)

We believe that the pure motives of the students sharing their part in pursuit of making the value of coexistence come true would eventually grow and become the hope and happiness for the Ghanaian women.

Even though this project was just before the finals 224 first and second grade students participated and even 110 third graders voluntarily participated! 17 teachers also pitched in and the final funding amount was 1084 USD! We applaud the students’ warm heart and genuine effort to become a hope for the Ghanaian women, and actively show their love and compassion.

Sharing that makes both the giver and receiver happy. Sharing is a happy, contagious virus and the first step to making the world a better place.

Yumkwang Meditech High school was the first school to partner for the World Village Bridging Project. We believe the students would become the salt and light, as the meaning of their school Yumkwang, shedding positive impact in the world.

The Bridge’s projects to support the self-reliance of the friends in developing countries will continue. A new wave of donation that makes the hope of self-reliance come true, the value of The Bridge comes true with your support and participation!

And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make
